First, I hate the insane amount of musical classifications, but this term seems to have caught on and now appears to be a legitimate subgenre.

Second, I like my death metal straight up, with maybe a hint of grind and/or thrash.

That being said I don't have a problem with this subgenre, though it seems to be catching a lot of flack with metal purists, or so called metal purists.
