INTRODUCTION: As proposed by WMA Member PsycoP, the WMA began issuing yearly Heavy Metal Awards, which was discontinued after the forums relocated. At the request of WMA Member Tharikifa, who has volunteered to oversee the Awards process, this board has been reinstalled in order to allow the WMA membership to once again nominate, and ultimately choose by vote, the winners in each category.

NOMINATIONS: Each member may make one post listing their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice nominations for each category. That's one post (listing 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice) per member per category, duplicate posts by the same member on any category will be deleted and not count in the final tally. Posts containing more than 3 nominees, or posted by a member with less than 50 posts will be void. All categories will remain open for nominations until June 1st 2007.

SCORING: Once the nomination categories are locked, the results will be tallied by the assigned Moderator in order to narrow down each category to the top five nominees as follows: Each nominee listed by a member as their 1st choice will receive 3 points, 2nd choice - 2 points, and 3rd choice - 1 point. The Forum Administrator will then post a poll for each category containing the top 5 nominees with the highest scores by June 30th 2007. (Any ties for the top five will be decided in a "run off" poll between June 1st and June 30th 2007.)

VOTING: The polls for each category posted on or before June 30th will remain open for voting until January 7th 2008, on which they will be locked, verified and the results considered final. Winners will be notified and posted on this board in early February 2008, and the entire process will start over for the next year's nomination and awards.
